목차
1. Definition of Dopamine

2. Process of dopamine

3. Function of dopamine in the body

본문
Dopamine is biosynthesized mainly by nervous tissue and the medulla of the adrenal glands.

As a member of the catecholamine family, dopamine is a precursor to epinephrine (adrenaline) and then norepinephrine (noradrenaline) in the biosynthetic pathways for these neurotransmitters.
1. PreSynaptic neurons secrete Dopamine-> Dopamine + receptors of PostSynaptic cells (Dopamin + receptor D1, D2)

2. receptors + G signaling proteins on agonist => compose signaling complex (in brain), (D1, D2 + Gq/11 through agonist SKF83959)

3. signaling complex -> G protein activation, intracellular calcium release (D1-D2 dopamine receptor heterooligomers -> activateGq/11, secrete intracellular Calcium )

4. calcium signaling -> intracellular communication, neuronal plasticity

Cocaine is a dopamine transporter blocker that competitively inhibits dopamine uptake to increase the lifetime of dopamine and augments an overabundance of dopamine. (an increase of up to 150%)

Amphetamines are similar in structure to dopamine, and so can enter the terminal button of the presynaptic neuron via its dopamine transporters as well as by diffusing through the neural membrane directly. When entering inside the presynaptic neuron, amphetamines force the dopamine molecules out of their storage vesicles and expel them into the synaptic gap.
